As the second largest packaging type, with over $21.8 Billion in annual revenue, Flexible Packaging is a very large and diverse industry. At C.A.P. we understand the challenges that arise when converting paper, film and foil substrates into packaging. With the significant increase in polypropylene and polyethylene films being used in Flexible Packaging, along with specialty coating being applied to the packaging materials, splicing and bonding these materials can be very difficult. At C.A.P., we’ve developed a line of Flying Splice Tape, PTFE Tape, Roller Wrap Tape and core start-up tapes that give you the reliability and productivity that you require.

Flying Splice Tapes / Splicing Tapes & Core Start-up Tapes

With high tack and good shear, our double coated flying splice tapes (splicing tapes) are designed to bond to various films used the Flexible Packaging industry, including polyester, polypropylene and polyethylene. Our single coated splicing tapes feature high strength polyester carriers and aggressive acrylic adhesive systems. Whether you’re overlap slicing or butt splicing, we have products to fit your needs. We also have flying splice tapes available in Black or Red for splice identification.

PTFE Tapes

Whether you’re heat sealing materials or simply need to create a low friction or abrasion resistant surface, PTFE tapes are an excellent and reliable choice. We feature a full line of PTFE Coated Glass Fabric Tapes – 3 mil PFTE tape, 5 mil PFTE tape, 6 mil PFTE tape, and 10 mil PFTE Coated Glass Fabric Tape. We also feature Skived PTFE Tapes -2 mil PFTE tape, 5 mil PFTE tape, and or 10 mil Skived PFTE tape. Both types of PTFE Tapes are available with a high temperature, non-residuing silicone adhesive or a high bond acrylic adhesive.

Roller Wrap Tapes

Roller Wrap Tapes are embossed siliconized cloth tapes designed to wrap around rollers on any style of converting machinery. The embossed design guarantees a high coefficient of friction that grips the web as it passes over rollers to keep material moving. Roller Wrap Tapes have a special release coating that keeps inks, coatings or adhesives from building up on roller or drums.
